In celebration of the beginning of the 2014 season of the well-loved Trolley Car Ice Cream Shoppe (and the end of a very long winter), guests who visit the Mt. Airy ice cream shop today, April 1 from noon to 9 p.m., will be treated to a free cup of water ice.
Every year, the Trolley Car Ice Cream Shoppe, a refurbished 1948 Presidents’ Conference Committee streetcar, opens for the season on April 1 and dishes out free water ice on opening day.
Choose from more than 10 flavors of homemade water ice including black cherry, mango, lemon and grape.
The Trolley Car Ice Cream Shoppe, which is located next to the Trolley Car Diner and Deli, is slated to stay open seven-days-a-week through October 15.
This isn’t an April Fools’ joke, just head out for some free water ice.
